Ted Grand

Ted Grand

Ted Grand created the Modo Yoga sequence by drawing upon his many years of yoga experience and more than one thousand hours of training in yoga therapy, yoga teaching, and traditional yoga. Approaching this task with patience and tireless research, he modified the sequence based on the opinions of a wide range of experts and peers in the yoga community. He has studied under Acharya Yoganand Karandikar, Georg Feuerstein and Bikram Choudhury. He has also studied pre-natal yoga with Janice Clarfield, Yin Yoga with Paul Grilley, yoga philosophy with Rod Stryker, Anusara Yoga with John Friend, Iyengar Yoga with Patricia Walden, and Restorative Yoga with Judith Hanson Lasater. Ted feels very strongly that yoga is a vehicle for becoming more socially engaged and compassionate, and is excited about seeing more people care about the planet, those less fortunate and other species. More yoga brings more peace. More peace has us make better decisions. Better decisions makes a more healthy, vital and loving world.

Ted is the co-founder of Moksha Yoga Montreal, Moksha Yoga Halifax Moksha Yoga St. Catharines, Yaletown Yoga in Vancouver, Moksha Yoga Uptown (Toronto) and Moksha Yoga Danforth (Toronto). He supports both beginners and experienced students by helping them find a practice that is inspired, intelligent and fun. His love for the practice is infectious and can be felt in each and every class he teaches. Ted is also a proud husband and father, an organic farmer, and an environmental/social activist.
