  • Payment online: VISA / MASTERCARD/AMEX are accepted.
  • NO REFUNDS, NO EXTENSIONS and NO TRANSFERS ARE ALLOWED ON ALL PURCHASES. 
  • Credit Packages and Memberships can be used at either Modo Yoga Aurora or Modo Yoga Newmarket ( EXCEPT for the Introductory Month Special).
  • Credit Packages can used to bring a guest to class
  • No suspensions/holds are allowed (except for Monthly Auto-Renew Memberships)

  • Memberships are billed monthly starting on purchase date.

Introductory Month Special

UNLIMITED MONTHLY AUTO-RENEW MEMBERSHIP CONTRACT

Agreement Terms and conditions:

Payment is required at the time of purchase Agreement Date, and is non-refundable.

Modo Yoga Aurora will charge customer’s credit card on file the Recurring Payment Amount + TAX, on a monthly basis, for the purpose of the customer’s membership fee under the terms and conditions of the customer’s Unlimited Monthly Auto-Renew Membership Agreement.

This Membership is valid at both Modo Yoga Aurora and Modo Yoga Newmarket.

This membership does not expire, and Modo Yoga Aurora will continue to bill the customer’s Credit Card on a monthly basis. 

Membership Cancellation: 

Modo Yoga Aurora requires THIRTY (30) days written notice on an active membership (i.e. a membership that is not suspended or on a hold), before the next scheduled payment, by completing the cancellation form in person at the studio, OR by sending an email to:

Access to an unlimited amount of classes at both Modo Yoga Aurora and Modo Yoga Newmarket. This excludes: Specialty classes/events, and Workshops.

Access could change if Modo Yoga Aurora / Modo Yoga Newmarket are under capacity restrictions due to circumstances outside of their control. If Capacity restrictions are in effect the “Unlimited” aspect of this membership may be limited.

Modo Yoga Aurora must be updated of any change in Credit Card information (i.e. expiry date, or lost or stolen cards) within five (5) days of the next pre-authorized payment. If payment is not received then an additional charge of $25.00 will be applied to the credit card on file seven (7) days after the original payment was due.

Membership Holds:

We require 7 days notice in writing to activate a hold.

Modo Yoga Aurora will allow a hold up to a maximum total of 90 days of holds in one calendar year. A $25 fee will be charged for each and every hold request placed, regardless of the length of the hold. We require an additional one month’s membership payment to activate any extended hold that is more than 30 days in length up to a maximum of 90 days in a calendar year. This fee is not refundable if a membership is cancelled while on hold.

If a membership is canceled, and later the customer decides to join a Monthly Auto-Renew Membership again;  a new contract will need to be signed, and the new contract terms and fees will apply.

Being a Monthly Auto-Renew member does not give a customer special priority over any other members at Modo Yoga Aurora or Modo Yoga Newmarket.

Membership fees are subject to change and are non-refundable, non-transferable and cannot be shared with any other person.

Booking & Courtesy Policy

DOWNLOAD AND USE THE MODO YOGA APP TO PROPERLY MANAGE ALL OF YOUR CLASS BOOKINGS.  ALWAYS CHECK TO MAKE SURE YOU ARE ‘SIGNED INTO’ THE APP WHEN YOU GO TO CHECK YOUR BOOKINGS.

Online Booking is available at 9am, 7 days in advance.

THE APP WILL SHOW YOU WHETHER YOU ARE IN A CLASS, OR IF YOU GOT  INTO A CLASS FROM THE WAIT-LIST, OR IF YOU ARE ON A WAIT-LIST FOR A CLASS. 

IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO MANAGE ALL OF YOUR CLASS BOOKINGS. WE CANNOT BE RESPONSIBLE TO BOOK CLASSES FOR YOU.

Cancellation & No Show Policy

CLASS RESERVATION CANCELLATION POLICY
A 3 hour cancellation notice is required and must be done through the on-line system to avoid any and all late/no-show charges. We do not accept phone, email or text cancellations.

NO SHOW CHARGE
A No Show charge occurs when you are signed up for a class and do not show up OR cancel. 

A Late Cancel charge occurs when you cancel after that 3 hour mark before class starts.

Both No Show & Late Cancel charges are $15+tax for all classes.

If you used a credit package to make the class reservation/booking; then your credit package will be used for any No Show or Late Cancel reservations.

Sorry, but we cannot make individual exceptions. Just know that you have until 20 MINUTES before the class starts to add yourself in, so you can always wait until you know you can for sure make it to save your spot!

Waiting Lists

  • Our Courtesy Policy is in FULL effect, if you are moved from the wait-list into  class.
  • If you are moved from the wait-list into the class, it is your responsibility to show up for class regardless of whether you confirm it or not.  If you do not show up for the class, or successfully cancel the class more than 3 hours before it starts, you will be charged the No Show/Late Cancel Fee.  We cannot make any exceptions at this time.
  • If you have put yourself on the wait-list, please be prepared to come to class. If you have booked a class for the next day, and you are still on the wait-list when you go to sleep; you must be prepared to take class in the event that you are moved from the wait-list into the class overnight. If you are not prepared to do that, take yourself off the wait-list, OR get up in time to cancel yourself out of class more than 3 hours before it starts!
  • Our Wait-list is Locked 4 hours before the class start time.  This means that if a spot opens up 4 hours or less before the class starts, and you are on the wait list; you will not be moved off the wait-list into class.  This allows foe anyone moved from the wait-list into a class, a minimum of 1 hour to cancel out of the class and avoid a penalty fee.  If you are eager to get into the class, keep checking the app for an opening on or after the 4 hour mark.

Notifications

TIP: Turn on your text alerts! This is the best way to confirm your spot, it’s automatic. Text confirmations are instant and ensure that you won’t lose your spot.

Minimum age policy for hot yoga at Modo Yoga Aurora

The following are approved of 1 hour hot yoga classes:

-16 years old and up unaccompanied

– 14 and 15 years old accompanied by an adult (parent or guardian).

*Parent or guardian must sign our Age to Practice Form (inquire about details at our reception desk)

Studio Guidelines & Etiquette

We ask for your support, awareness and mindfulness when accessing the shared studio spaces; and to keep respect and kindness in the forefront of your mind at all times so that we can all continue to enjoy all that this wonderful studio community provides for each and every one of us.

  • Please remove shoes upon entry
  • Sign in at the front desk upon arrival
  • Arrive 15 minutes prior to class start, latecomers are not permitted (sign in starts 20 mins before the class begins)
  • Turn your phone off! No Cellphone use in the change-rooms. Phones are not permitted in the practice rooms
  • Bring only your mat, towel & water into the practice room- keep Bags & personal items in the change-room
  • Observe silence in the practice rooms at all times!
  • Line up the top edge of your mat with a mat marker line in the practice rooms
  • Please be scent free: No perfumes, colognes or fragrances(do not use essential oils in the practice rooms)
  • For your safety, it’s important that you ONLY practice the poses being cued by the instructor
  • Remain in the practice room for the duration of class – please exit the space 5-10 mins after the end of class, so we can fully clean and prepare the space for the next class/closing time
  • Out of respect for the Earth, your fellow yogis and our staff, please keep your showers and time in the change-rooms short & sweet!

Workshops

  • Pre-registration is required for ALL Workshops/Events.
  • You MUST Purchase the Workshop/Event Credit FIRST, then book yourself into the workshop/event
  • Workshop/Event registration fees are not refundable.
  • No Refunds, No Transfers, Not shareable, No additional discounts can be applied.

  • EVEN if you Cancel the workshop within the 72 hour late cancel window, you will NOT be given a refund for the Workshop/Event purchase.

  • Late arrivals will not be permitted to enter Workshops/Events. No refunds will be issued in this case.

Promotions

Periodically, promotions will be emailed to our students and/or advertised via social media. Typically these promotions are available for a short duration.
Once the stated deadline for purchase is over, we are no longer able to honor the promotion.

All Sales are Final, No Refunds on Promotional Purchases, No Exceptions!

If you purchase a promotional class card, it will have an expiration date.

Storage Onsite and Lost & Found

  • Modo Yoga Aurora does not provide space for students to store their personal belongings or their mat. We reserve the right to cut locks that have been left on lockers overnight.
  • Modo Yoga Aurora is not responsible for the loss or theft of personal belongings. Students concerned about their personal effects can secure them in a locker during their practice and must bring their own lock.
  • Shoes and boots: Yoga brain happens! Sometimes students accidentally leave with someone else’s footwear that is similar to their own. Please note in these situations, we will do our best to help recover the mixed-up item but can not contact everyone present in classes that day to do so. Typically we will send a message to the class that ended at the time of the mishap. We encourage students to use their own footwear identification method- tag/put your name on your footwear – put your keys/socks/gloves in your footwear.
  • Any personal items that are found in the studio will be lovingly placed in our Lost & Found Lockers in each change-room.
  • We do not store Lost & Found items at our reception desk or in our office space.
  • Unclaimed Lost & Found items are donated to charity after 30 days.

MODO YOGA INTERNATIONAL ANTI-DISCRIMINATION & HARASSMENT PROCESS

PURPOSE

Modo Yoga International’s mission is to grow our community of studios, teachers and students with the aim of sharing yoga with as many people as possible and therefore creating more peace in the world. Therefore, it is the responsibility of the organization to ensure that all Modo Yoga studios and teacher trainings are free from harassment and abuse. Modo Yoga International will not tolerate any form of harassment that violates this Policy.

 

PROHIBITED CONDUCT

Modo Yoga International prohibits the conduct outlined below by all employees, sub-contracted staff and volunteers working at a Modo Yoga studio or at Modo Yoga International, as well as clients of Modo Yoga studios.

  1. Discrimination towards any person based on age, gender, gender identity, pronoun use, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, culture, national origin, religion, body type, personal appearance, physical or mental ability, socioeconomic status, marital status, political activities or affiliation, or any other basis proscribed by local, state, provincial, national, and federal laws and regulations.
  2. Harassment of any person, either in person or through online activities now known or unknown, such as trolling, stalking, using hate speech, threatening, intimidating, falsely accusing, reporting of false grievances, manipulating, or otherwise harassing in any form or manner.
  3. Sexual harassment towards any person.
  4. Retaliation against any persons who report any instances of harassment.


APPLICABILITY

This Policy applies to all Modo Yoga International and Modo Yoga studio workers in any context or environment where a worker presents themself (or is presented) as an employee, sub contracted staff and volunteers, including but not limited to: group and private yoga instruction in Modo Yoga studios, gymnasiums, fitness clubs, other schools and universities, medical facilities, group homes, prisons, public spaces, festivals, retreats; and all online spaces, including social media.

Seek Active Inclusion: Workers SHOULD seek to actively include, accommodate, and welcome persons who are typically excluded on the basis named above in ‘Avoid Discrimination’ as a committed practice towards creating equity.

Provide Reasonable Accommodations: Workers SHOULD understand and facilitate to the best of their ability reasonable accommodations for people with different physical abilities.

Workers should be committed to applying strong ethical principles in their professional and personal lives, and this should be understood as intrinsic to their practice and teaching of yoga.

Activities covered by this Policy shall be distinguished from the purely private conduct of workers, which is beyond the purview of this Policy.

 

DEFINITIONS
HARASSMENT
Harassment is unwelcome verbal or non-verbal conduct where: (i) the conduct denigrates or shows hostility or aversion towards the person and has the purpose or effect of unreasonably interfering with their work, study, or other activity, (ii) enduring the offensive conduct becomes a condition of the continued relationship, and/or (iii) the conduct has the purpose or effect of creating an environment that a reasonable person would consider intimidating, hostile, or abusive.

Harassment includes epithets, slurs, name calling, negative stereotyping, insults, intimidation, ridicule, threatening, intimidating or hostile acts, denigrating jokes, and display of written or graphic material that denigrates or shows hostility or aversion toward an individual or group based on their protected characteristic.

Harassment includes, but is not limited to: offensive verbal comments related to age, gender, gender identity, pronoun use, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, culture, national origin, religion, body type, personal appearance, physical or mental ability, socioeconomic status, marital status, political activities or affiliation, or any other basis proscribed by local, state, provincial, national, and federal laws and regulations; deliberate intimidation; stalking; following; harassing photography or recording; sustained and intentional disruption of class or other events; and inappropriate physical contact.

RETALIATION
Retaliation is any adverse action or threat taken or made against an individual, including through third parties and/or legal counsel, for making a report of prohibited conduct or participating in any investigation or proceeding related to this Policy. Retaliation includes threatening, intimidating, harassing, or any other conduct that would discourage a reasonable person from engaging in activity protected under this Policy. Retaliation also includes maliciously and/or intentionally interfering with, threatening, or harming the academic or professional career or reputation of another individual before, during, or after the Investigation, Decision, and resolution of a report of prohibited conduct under this Policy in response to and/or on account of the report of the prohibited conduct. This provision applies to reports made or information provided in good faith, even if the facts alleged in the report are determined not to be accurate.
