Ali attended her first yoga class at Modo Yoga Barrie in 2013 and fell in love instantly. Not only did she fall in love with the practice, but also with the support that came from the community. She completed her Modo Yoga Level 1 Teacher Training at the beginning of 2015 in sunny Nicaragua. She went back to Nicaragua in February 2017 to complete her 200 hour Modo Flow Teacher Training. “Of course the practice changed my life in a very positive way, but it was mainly the community and the connections I’ve built over the years with fellow teachers and students that allowed me to grow and see the beauty within each and every day.”
Ali has a true passion when it comes to teaching and hopes to always inspire people on and off the mat throughout her journey as a yoga student/teacher. “I know how Modo changed my life and continues to have a positive impact on a daily basis. I want to be a part of that positive change in as many peoples lives as possible.” She believes that Modo Yoga’s 6 Pillars are something that all yogis should incorporate throughout their everyday life. Ali feels that no matter how far you come in anything that you chose to do, there is always room to grow and always a time to make a positive change.
