Fostering Connection, Healing, and Community
Rosanna Marouelli is a mother, entrepreneur, and longtime wellness practitioner devoted to creating spaces where healing, connection, and personal growth can thrive. She began her journey with Modo Yoga in 2008, completing her teacher training in India. In 2011, she opened Modo Yoga Barrie—a studio now recognized as a leader in local wellness, having raised over $106,000 for charity and received more than 30 awards for excellence.
As the owner and guiding force behind the studio, Rosanna brings over 26 years of experience as a Registered Massage Therapist, with additional training in craniosacral therapy (including pediatric craniosacral care), myofascial work, reflexology, and somatoemotional release. She has a deep love for working with babies and supporting families through gentle, compassionate care. Rosanna also holds a BA in Gerontology, has taught in the Health Sciences Department at Georgian College, and currently serves on an advisory board at the college.
Rosanna is part of the Modo Yoga International teaching faculty for the Modo Yin Teacher Training, where she supports teachers in deepening their understanding of anatomy, stillness, and presence. Whether she’s leading a class, mentoring fellow teachers, or offering hands-on healing, her approach blends scientific understanding with intuitive insight and is always rooted in care.
In 2019, Rosanna received the RevolutionHER Award of Merit for business excellence and community service. She was also the 2024 winner of Dancing with the Stars Barrie in support of Easter Seals, a cause close to her heart.
Guided by the words of Rumi—“There is a voice that doesn’t use words. Listen.”—Rosanna’s mission is to help others reconnect with themselves, their bodies, and their inner light.
