Hi there! I’m Kendra, my pronouns are she/her/hers and they/them/theirs. I was born in Canada, originally from Nova Scotia (Unceded and unsurrendered Mi’kma’ki Territory) and have been traveling for more than half of my life; living, learning and working within Dominican Republic, Australian, Canadian, and the American communities.
In 2020 I moved home to Halifax after living in Seattle for 4 years managing and teaching at Modo Yoga Seattle. Prior to that I was in Vancouver learning massage therapy, studying anatomy and physiology, and working with the Vancouver Modo Studios. Before moving to Vancouver I lived in Toronto attending UofT where I completed my Bsc. in Psychology and Sociology in 2013.
Training Completed between 2014-2020
It is my privilege to share these spaces and practices with others. I teach because I have received countless practical lessons and tools from the yoga and Buddhist philosophies that have supported me through the last 11 years and I am a healthier human because of the time spent on my mat. My time practicing yoga has created a space within me to make life-changing connections with myself, other people and the world around me. I am currently creating a program within Nova Scotia to offer yoga in adult and youth correctional facilities.
When I’m not working I enjoy running, dancing, being in the ocean or forest, and long-uninterrupted stretches of silence.
I look forward to meeting you soon!
