Bee Pallomina (she/they)

Teacher

My mom brought me to my first yoga class as a child at a recreation centre in Scarborough many years ago (Thanks Mom!), but it wasn’t until I took a Modo class that I really committed to regular practice. I completed my Modo Teacher Training in Toronto in 2006. In addition to Modo I guide Yin, Restorative and Flow classes.

I’m also a professional dance artist, working as a performer, choreographer and collaborator in Toronto and abroad. I teach alternative dance techniques and am certified to teach Open Source Forms and Yoga Tune-Up. I hold an MFA in contemporary choreography from York U. I love movement!

I am grateful to my teachers and guides, especially the land-based and Indigenous lineages of the many movement practices I have studied. I am continuing my studies through workshops with Center for Babaylan Studies and Dodem Kanonhsa. I am also studying Expressive Arts Therapy with a focus on ecology, decolonization, ancestors, rest, somatics, pleasure and interconnection.

I am proud mom to Leo Levine born in 2015. Many humbling lessons have come through the process of parenting. I guide classes from a place of humility and invite all to join in practice in a way that honours their whole self and where they are at in each moment. I approach yoga as a practice that cultivates awareness, deep listening. clarity and connection.
