In 2010 Eric came to Modo Yoga in search of a way to improve his hockey skills and golf swing. He was hoping to make his tight hamstrings more flexible; to avoid his muscles causing him discomfort in years ahead. He quickly realized that yoga is about more than stretching and balance. While his muscles received help, including unexpected strength workouts from the poses, it was yoga’s breathing and mindfulness elements that had the biggest impact on his game.
Eric went to Modo teacher’s training in Kelowna, BC in 2017. He works in the sports media industry, coached minor hockey for four seasons, and reads history books on the TTC.
