Nayely Acevedo

Communications Leader

Nayely first found yoga in Edmonton in 2014. At the time, Moksha was one of few hot yoga studios in the city, and Nayely had moved here from Oshawa to try something new. Spending most of her teenage years feeling very disconnected from her body and health, she quickly found a love for the practice, and eventually all movement. Yoga helped her strip away layers of self-doubt and fear, and she works daily to replace those layers with confidence and fearlessness. Nayely moved on to Energy Exchange at a studio in her hometown. After two years of moving back and forth between Toronto and Oshawa, she landed at Modo Yoga Bloor West in August 2019, where she is now the Communications Leader and occasional Savasana Singer.

When she’s not at the studio, Nayely is a flight attendant and likes to trot the globe. She has many hobbies and creative outlets, such as stand-up comedy, songwriting, singing, and guitar. Her name means “I love you”, which has proven to be her purpose in life; finding love and light in every interaction, being powerfully vulnerable. She loves connecting with people and making people laugh and smile. 🙂
