Sabrina Marcantonio

Introduced to yoga at the age of 16 in her World Religions class, Sabrina instantly felt a deep connection to the teachings and philosophy and longed to learn more. After being laid off from her corporate job in 2009, at the age of 28 she took her life savings and set out to India to deepen her yoga studies. In 2010, in the state of Kerala, she completed her Modo Yoga teaching certification and in 2012, along with her sister Maria – opened Modo Yoga Square One. Together they served a vibrant and beautiful community for eight years, however in the summer of 2020 due to the impact of Covid-19, they were forced to permanently close their studio doors.

“Yoga is my medicine – it has opened a door that has awakened a deeper awareness both within me and of the world around me. After 23 years it has become a practice embodied in my daily life – a vehicle that delivers me home… to my heart and true-nature. No matter how many times I trip and fall, it never fails to pick me back up.”

Fun Fact: I love a good Netflix marathon, cooking, singing, and spending time in nature.
