After hurting my shoulder, a dear friend of mine convinced me to try yoga. Despite my
resistance, I was surprised that after my first month of practice the pain in my shoulder had
disappeared. Yoga was the only therapy, among many, that healed my pain. Besides the
healing benefits of yoga, I also found myself more motivated at work, with a level of focus I had
not experienced before. These amazing results inspired me to become a yoga instructor. My
manager at work was reluctant to support me in my dream at first. However, after six months of
determined and consistent practice, my manager could not deny the impact that yoga was
having in my life, both personally and professionally. I am overjoyed that I was able to take the
Modo Yoga Instructor Training course in 2017. Since then, I have been working at the studio,
improving my practice and teaching classes whenever the opportunities arise.
