What’s Our Why?
We wanted to create a place in Burlington where people could go to find peace, build physical and mental strength, heal their bodies and have some fun along the way. On December 1, 2008 we opened the doors of Modo Yoga Burlington and the journey began. Our instructors are the heart of our community and we have been fortunate to have some of the best ones in town. We are constantly inspired by the growth and healing that takes place within our space and are grateful for all of you that choose to live a more peaceful, mindful, healthy lifestyle.
A Space to Heal and Grow
Our studio is the one you come to when you’re looking for some peace. Whether you’re doing a gentle yoga class or a more powerful one like a Modo Flow, the focus is the same—grounding yourself by connecting breath to movement. The hot room is scent free and silent. Phones are not permitted and smart watch notifications must be turned off. We disconnect in order to reconnect with ourselves during our practice. We offer a variety of classes that are accessible to everyone and we encourage you to listen to your body and modify postures when needed.

Modo Yoga is a global network of eco-friendly hot yoga studios that focus on building a welcoming, inclusive community where people can work on their physical and mental wellness. We offer a variety of classes designed to suit all levels of experience, from beginner to advanced. Our studios are heated up to 40°C. Most of our classes sit around 38°C with high humidity; however, our higher intensity classes and Yin classes can be lower temperatures. The heat is designed to enhance flexibility, promote detoxification, and create a safe space for a deeper practice.
Yes! Modo Yoga offers a full-body workout that combines strength, flexibility, and cardiovascular endurance. Our sequences are designed to get your heart pumping, while helping you build muscle and improving your overall fitness.
Flexibility is not a requirement to practice yoga—it’s something you develop over time. Modo Yoga is designed for all bodies and all levels, so whether you’re touching your toes or miles away from them, you’ll be able to enjoy and benefit from the practice.
Wear comfortable, breathable clothing that allows you to move freely, but please keep in mind that you will sweat a lot. Most people wear moisture-wicking fabrics that help keep them cool and dry during class.
Bring a yoga mat, a towel, and water to stay hydrated. If you don’t have a mat or towel, we have them available for rent or purchase at the studio. We also recommend bringing a change of clothes and toiletries for after class — you’re going to get really sweaty!
Modo Yoga classes vary depending on the class type. We offer 45, 60, 75, and 90 minute classes to suit your schedule.
We ask that you arrive a few minutes early to settle in and prepare for class. While we understand that life happens, latecomers will not be permitted to enter into a class once it has started. This is to protect the peaceful experience for everyone. If you’re running late, give us a call and we’ll see if we can switch your class registration to a later time.
