Why do you love the Modo community?

Modo is my home away from home. The energy is warm and contagious. When I first started practicing at Modo in 2017 I was hooked after my first class and practiced every day for 33 days in a row. I fell in love with the practice, the community, the energy and myself.

Why do you teach yoga?

To help students connect with themselves physically, mentally and emotionally. The yoga mat is a great place to dive in to learn about yourself!

What yoga certifications do you have?

Modo Level 1 – 500 YTT, Modo Flow – 100 YTT and Group Fitness Instructor Certification from the American Council on Exercise.

If you were an animal, what would it be?

I would be a bird. Who doesn’t want to fly?!?

You have one day completely to yourself in Columbus.  What do you do?

(Let’s assume this is a Saturday or Sunday) Early morning sweaty yoga at Modo, hot cup of coffee (preferably on my front porch), dance party in my kitchen, brunch with friends and/or family, hike at a nearby metro park, backyard grilling/fire pit and tunes. Who wants to join me?

What’s your favorite yoga pose and why?

My favorite yoga pose is Warrior II. I feel strong, confident, and challenged at the same time. In this pose I am always reminded to deepen my breath as I sink deeper into the pose.

You can only eat at one Columbus restaurant for the rest of your life.  What is it?

I love North Star! I crave that Buddha Bowl!
