Modo Yoga Danforth is a Hot Yoga studio and community joined together by our love of yoga & fitness. Modo Yoga studios also have strong roots in providing eco conscious spaces that support a mindful yoga practice. We’ve been sharing our yoga experience in the heart of Greek town, located in Toronto’s east side for over 20 years now.
Our schedule is full of engaging classes such as Modo Yoga, Hatha Yoga, Flow Yoga, Yin Yoga, and Pilates. Mindfulness yoga is woven throughout our experience here at Modo Yoga Danforth. Whether it’s taking off your shoes upon arriving, or putting your phone away while here, you’ll have the opportunity to be fully present.
Yoga workshops and yoga retreats are also offered at, and through Modo Yoga Danforth and its team of instructors.
Hot yoga is any style of yoga practiced in a heated room, the temperature is generally around 100°F (38°C) with humidity (around 40%). Modo Yoga Studios use radiant heat panels, as it creates an evenly heated environment throughout the practice rooms.
Modo Yoga has made its name in Hot Yoga by leading the industry in areas of foundational yoga practices, yoga accessibility, and the building of environmentally conscious studios.
Our 2 week Intro Pass is one of the best yoga deals in town, and you can get started today by signing up through our website or the Modo Yoga app. We offer beginner friendly classes led by yoga instructors who are excited to share that first class feeling. Our Yoga memberships & credit packs offer the flexibility to practice hot yoga everyday, or when it works with your schedule.
You’ll need a mat and a towel, both are available for rent at the studio. You’ll definitely want water, we have filtered water to refill your bottle, and we sell Flow water as well. You’ll also want to wear comfortable clothing that wicks the sweat away from your body, and allows for comfortable movement.
Absolutely! In fact, this is exactly why you should do yoga! Yoga helps create flexibility and strength in the body to improve and maintain your health. Exploring your flexibility and strength is the best way to expand your possibilities.
We recommend arriving 15 minutes before the start of class, as it gives you time to check in, and get settled in. We also have a no latecomer policy. Once class starts, no one else will be permitted into class, to allow our students an interruption free class.
We are so often in the midst of the sounds of the city. Here at Modo Yoga Danforth, we want you to have the opportunity to step away. So before and after class, there’s space for meditation and quiet in our practice room.
As a company, a group of studios, a community and a yoga series, we are committed to the following values, known as the 7 Pillars of Moksha/Modo Yoga:
