Andrew’s yoga journey began in the basement of an office tower in downtown Toronto over twenty years ago. However, it wasn’t until he was introduced to Moksha (now Modo) Bloor West that something in the heat and the sequence spoke to him. Since then he spent time in Vancouver, Montreal, Mexico City, and Barrie before coming back home and joining the Energy Exchange program at Modo Yoga Danforth. With renewed passion Andrew dedicated himself to his practice and completed his Modo 200hr training in the summer of 2025. And now, in what feels like a full circle moment he is grateful to teach his own classes in that same space.
As a teacher, Andrew recognizes the connection between yoga and social justice and feels it is his responsibility to always be learning in order to better serve his communities. He is currently pursuing further training in Accessible Yoga with Jivana Heyman.
Andrew strives to make his classes a welcoming and safe environment for everyone by fostering connection and encouraging curiosity by using movement as inquiry. He believes yoga is a tool for healing, that yoga is for every body and has the power to change the world.
