Allison (Ally) Stark

Teacher

Bio: Yoga has been part of Allison’s life since childhood, when the practice began gaining momentum in Canada in the 1970s and her mother became an avid student of a local Ontario teacher. Over the decades, Allison found herself continually returning to her mat. After fully recovering from a stroke in 2013, she took her first yoga teacher training in 2016 and quickly embraced teaching studio classes.

Inspired by students with limited mobility, Allison completed Accessible Yoga training in 2018. Her journey eventually led her to the Modo Yoga community, where she fell in love with the sequence, the values, and the collective spirit. In 2023, she completed Modo’s Foundational Teacher Training, followed by her Modo Flow certification in 2024.

Yoga has supported Allison through every chapter—stroke recovery, a corporate career, motherhood, the loss of loved ones, and all the joys and challenges of this beautiful, unpredictable life. She believes yoga is the practice of paying attention, sensing possibility within ourselves and one another, and allowing inner transformation to unfold through the process.
