Modo Yoga is a community of independent hot yoga studios, guided by our 6 Pillars, united by our love for yoga, and dedicated to creating a more sustainable world. With over 50 locations across North American Europe – every studio is a place for all. We welcome all bodies and all abilities, whether you are a beginner or an experienced student.
Classes are heated to around 40 degrees celsius with about 40% humidity. External weather conditions and the number of students in the class can have an effect on the temperature inside the room. If you’ve never practiced hot yoga before it might feel quite hot during your first class, but over time, your body will acclimatize to the heat. Students are encouraged move through each class at their own pace, taking rest and water when needed.
Wear something that you feel comfortable in that is easy to move around in. You will probably sweat a lot, so lightweight, breathable materials that will absorb sweat and dry quickly are best. Shorts or leggings, a t-shirt or a tank top are all great options.
You’ll need a yoga mat and water for class. You might also want a mat towel, depending on how much you sweat. We have filtered water available at the studio so bring your own bottle! Yoga mats, mat towels, and shower towels are also available to rent or buy if you don’t have your own. We also recommend bringing a change of clothes for after class – did we mention you’ll sweat a lot?!
Modo Yoga classes are 45, 60, 75 or 90 minutes long. We have a variety of classes at various lengths, so please check the schedule to see what works for you!
Stuff happens – we totally get it! But unfortunately, studio doors will be locked at class start time and latecomers will not be admitted into class. All classes start on time and end on time to provide a peaceful class, distraction free for all. No exceptions.
We require at least 15 days notice in writing if you wish to cancel your membership. Please email us at info@modoyogaetobicoke.com & we will send back a cancellation form that must be filled out in order to process cancellation.
Yoga builds strength and flexibility. It also makes us more aware of our breath, which ultimately helps to relax and calm the body and mind. People who practice regularly often notice that they are happier, have better focus, and are more able to handle the stresses of everyday life.
Modo Yoga’s 6 Pillars are the foundation of who we are.
As a community, we take care of ourselves, create inclusive spaces, nurture the Earth, support local groups, keep a beginner’s mind, and seek out peace. With these 6 Pillars as our guide, Modo Yoga hopes to change the world.
A healthy practice leads to healthy choices for the mind, body, and spirit.
Yoga is for everyone! All abilities, bodies, and backgrounds are welcome here.
The care, respect, and protection of our planet is tied to our own well-being.
We’re stronger together, and we reach out and support one another.
To be anything, we must learn. Stay humble, curious, and passionate.
We cultivate harmony—inside and worldwide.
