COVID-19 Studio Changes

REOPENING POLICIES

Your health, safety & comfort have always been top of mind for us; now more than ever we are especially mindful of our responsibility to our community. We’ve worked thoughtfully and diligently to update the studio space and all of our operating protocols to exceed public health guidelines.

Thank you in advance for showing patience, compassion, awareness, and respect for our staff and for each other by following these updated studio policies.

HEALTH SELF-ASSESSMENT

  • Please ensure you’re clear of any symptoms of COVID-19
  • If you have tested positive for COVID-19, or come into contact with someone who has, kindly do not come to the studio until you’ve tested negative
  • If you have recently travelled from outside Canada, self-isolation is required for 14 days; you may return to the studio when your self-isolation period ends

STUDIO UPDATES

  • Mask to mat policy in effect. We ask everyone to wear a mask inside our space, though you’re welcome to remove it on your mat or keep it on if you wish
  • Professional deep clean & sanitization conducted prior to reopening
  • More time between classes for increased cleaning of all common areas and high touch surfaces with products that are proven to kill viruses such as COVID-19
  • Hand sanitizer, hand soap & paper towel dispensers installed throughout
  • Plexiglass barrier installed at reception desk
  • Social distancing promoted throughout studio
  • Declaration of Health acknowledgment upon arrival
  • Staff will monitor their temperature and overall health on a daily basis and will stay home if any COVID-19 symptoms arise
  • Cashless studio. Please pre-pay from home or via credit/debit card in studio. Ensure you have an active credit card on file with us so you can leave your wallet at home 
  • Practice Room:
    • Brand-new floors installed & fresh paint on our lower level
    • Jaspr Air Purifier (hospital grade HEPA filter) to ensure best air quality
    • Fogger unit to disinfect practice room with a hospital-grade disinfectant
    • Reduced heat classes to allow more air flow / no stagnant air
    • HVAC system diligently maintained with new filters & will be used before, during (as required) & after classes
    • Floor mat markers spaced 6 feet apart to show where to place your mat

NEW PROCEDURES

SCHEDULE & BOOKING:

    • Class capacity significantly reduced to observe social distancing
    • Pre-registration required (no walk-ins)
    • Register via our website & review pre-registration policies
    • 2-hour cancellation policy ($10 late cancel fee; $15 no show fee)
    • Doors open 15 minutes prior to and close 15 minutes after each class
    • Doors locked while classes are in session
    • Arrive at least 5 minutes before class as latecomers aren’t permitted

ARRIVE PREPARED:

    • Come dressed for class as use of changerooms & showers are temporarily suspended (please store any necessities/belongings in a cubby in the reception area)
    • All equipment, props, mat & towel service are suspended – bring your own
    • Fill your water bottle at home (filtered tap will still be available on site)
    • Bring your mask; if you don’t have one you can purchase from us for $2
    • Washrooms are available for use

BEFORE, DURING & AFTER CLASS:

    • Sanitize your hands before entering the practice room
    • Teachers will avoid walking around or offering hands-on adjustments
    • Kapalabhati and other deep breathing exercises will not be instructed
    • Collect all your personal belongings as lost & found will not be available
