What will I learn at this training?

At the Modo Flow Training, teachers will learn how to teach the Modo Flow series… one of our most popular class types.

You will also continue building on your foundational understanding of the practice, strengthening your anatomy knowledge, and refining your teaching skills through interactive exercises and one-on-one feedback sessions.

Elements of sequencing, and how to structure your classes around a specific theme, intention, or anatomical focus will also be explored.

More specifically, you will learn:

  • Key Principles of Vinyasa
  • History of Vinyasa
  • Posture Workshops
  • Basic Introduction to the Bandhas
  • How to work on language use
  • How to find the rhythm of vinyasa
  • Class structures and themes

This training will be led by Ezmy Stavroff and Karl Notargiovani.

What are the dates and times for this training?

This training will take place online over the course of 4 consecutive weekends (Saturdays and Sundays from 9am-5pm EST).
The dates are as follows:
  • September 10th & 11th
  • September 17th & 18th
  • September 24th & 25th
  • October 1st & 2nd

How much is tuition and what does this include?

Tuition for this training is $1,400 CAD.

This DOES NOT include any flights, travel costs, accommodations, or food if applicable.

* PLEASE NOTE: The Modo Yoga Flow Training is non-refundable after 72 hours of purchase. If a refund is requested within 72 hours of purchase, funds will be returned less a $200 processing fee. After 72 hours of purchase, your training tuition becomes transferable only.

* NOTE ABOUT IN-PERSON TRAININGS: Modo Yoga is adhering to COVID restrictions as they change and evolve. This means that if restrictions for gathering change, we may have to move your participation in the in-person teacher training online, or transfer you to a future in-person training. Please also be mindful of the cancellation policies for your flight and/or accommodations, in case we have to move your in-person training online. We should know more 1 month prior to your training start date.

This training will occur online from wherever you have access to the internet.

Do I have to attend all lectures and classes at this training?

Yes. In order to graduate from the Modo Flow Teacher Training, and earn your certificate as a Modo Flow Teacher, you must attend all sessions, lectures, and classes during this session.

What are the prerequisites for this training?

To attend this training you must first complete the Modo Yoga Teacher Training. We also require that you have been teaching Modo Yoga for at least 1 year before taking this training.

Do I have to be a Modo Yoga Teacher to take this training?

Yes. The Modo Yoga Teacher Training is a prerequisite to the Modo Flow Teacher Training. This foundational training gets you well acquainted with the Modo community, and introduces you to our values, our 6 pillars, and our best practices as Yoga Teachers.

I am already a certified Yoga Teacher, but not through Modo. Can I apply for this training?

No. To be accepted into the Modo Flow Teacher Training, you must first complete the Modo Yoga Teacher Training. This foundational training gets you well acquainted with the Modo community, and introduces you to our values, our 6 pillars, and our best practices as Yoga Teachers.

What is the required reading for this training?

Yes. There are 2 books on the required reading list.
