Vanessa began practicing yoga in 2013 and she instantly fell in love with not only the practice itself, but the Moksha community and its values through the six pillars. Moksha Barrie in Vanessa’s home town quickly became her home away from home! She explains that Moksha was her saving grace as it has changed her life in such positive way, and has helped her to become the best possible version of herself.
Vanessa explains that “yoga allows me to be grounded and present in the moment and welcome love and happiness into my life on and off my mat.” After becoming a part of the Energy Exchange program at Moksha Yoga Barrie, Vanessa knew she was destined to become a teacher, to share her love and passion of yoga with others. In July 2014, Vanessa completed her Moksha Level 1 Teacher Training in beautiful Kelowna, British Columbia. She then went on to complete Moksha Yoga Flow Training in Thornhill, Ontario in August 2015. Vanessa is thrilled to be sharing her love of yoga with the Hamilton community!
She feels so blessed to be able to share her passion for yoga at MYH and inspire others just as her teachers and students continually inspire her. When Vanessa is not at the studio she is a kindergarten teacher. She loves to travel and spend time outdoors with family and friends. She is fascinated with the profound beauty and serenity nature has to offer.
