Diana Sawchuk

Teaches Modo

Born and raised in Winnipeg, Diana has had a lengthy career as a nurse, particularly in the field of Neuroscience. She dabbled in Yoga asanas in the 1980’s and remembers busing it to the Downtown YMCA as a young adult to attend Yoga classes with a friend. Several years, and a full career later, Diana received a free week of yoga at MYK, attended almost everyday, and the rest, as they say, is history. Intro Month, 30 Day Challenges, and several years of Membership, Yoga at MYK was always been there for her… a constant in challenging times both personally and professionally. Through it all she strived to give back as much as she received. After retiring from fulltime nursing, Diana became entrenched in the MYK sangha, first as an Energy Exchanger, and later Front Desk Staff.  While missing her community during the 2020 Covid 19 studio closure, the virtual world of Modo Yoga became her sanctuary and that summer she found herself at her cottage with her beloved dog, Buster, deepening her Yoga knowledge and practice attending the second ever Online Modo Yoga Teacher Training. Diana brings both gratitude and respect for the Modo Yoga Community to her classes, and is deeply grateful and dedicated to her own practice, practice, practice…
