Liz began her yoga journey shortly after graduating from her Masters of Music in Baton Rouge, LA. There was a yoga studio next door to the symphony office where she worked. Yoga brought relief to her busy life as an arts administrator and musician. Since moving back to Winnipeg to work for Manitoba Opera in 2016, she has been practicing at Modo Yoga Kildonan. Aside from working in arts administration, she is also a professional oboist, and loves to play with her creative side in all that she does. One thing you might not realize just by looking at her is that she is a type 1 diabetic. She is an advocate for type 1 diabetes, wanting to bring a greater understanding of this autoimmune disease to the world.

Yoga has emphasized Liz’s realization that she cares deeply about the world we live in, and that she wants to help others through the mental and physical benefits of yoga. She completed the Modo Level 1 training the summer of 2021, and Modo Calm training spring of 2022.

“I am grateful to live each day, and hope to help others find their inspiration in life.”
