I took my first Modo class in London in early 2011 after a decade of practice in varied styles of yoga at many different yoga studios in the London & Toronto area. I fell in love with not only the challenge and peace of the Modo sequence, but with the community and pillars of Modo Yoga. I travelled to Los Angeles in 2014 to complete my Modo Yoga teacher training and since then, I have completed many more trainings and workshops in different styles of yoga (prenatal, power, vinyasa flow, yoga nidra and restorative, to name just a few). In 2014, I stepped into my role of being a co-owning partner in both Modo Yoga studios in London, ON.
While away from the London Modo Yoga studios in 2020, I spent my time focusing on personal and professional development in the areas of anti oppression, anti racism, and trauma-informed teaching. My hope is to continue learning while being a strong ally to marginalized communities. You will find my classes challenging, yet somehow also joy-filled, funny and accessible to everyone.
As the lululemon yoga ambassador, I have been able to expand my passion for bringing accessible yoga to the greater yoga community. My goal to share the practice of yoga for all bodies, all ages and all levels of experience remains my mission. I aspire to create “a place for all” to come, breathe, move their bodies, reconnect with themselves, and feel like they belong through my continued commitment to social justice and allyship within London and the greater Modo community.
