Yoga and mindfulness have been a part of my healing journey since 2012. When I was in university, Modo Yoga Fredericton’s Queer Yoga classes offered me a warm (literally), loving, safe space to practice with my own community. When I moved from New Brunswick, I found that warmth again, and was embraced by the wonderful community at Modo Yoga London. I discovered Sivananda Yoga from a workshop with Annette and Vanessa. I fell in love with the practice, and began my yoga teacher training exactly one year later (to the day!) at the Sivananda Vedanta Yoga Ashram in Val Morin, Quebec.

I am also a Mindfulness Meditation Facilitator. I’ve taught mindfulness at mental health organizations in both Canada and Germany and have published research on mindfulness and self-compassion.

Apart from yoga life, I work in LGBTQ health. I enjoy tea, cats, plant-based food, and reading about social justice.
