New Students

Classes range from to 98-100° F with 40%-60% humidity to ensure the maximal benefits from your practice.

All of our classes are taught in a heated room. We use radiant heat panels which emit warmth that directly heats objects – like people – mimicking the natural warmth of the sun’s rays. To learn more about the benefits of radiant heat, check out this post!

We aim to make all our classes accessible to any level student. If you’re brand new to yoga, we recommend trying out our Modo class! This accessible, all levels class will build strength and breath awareness while building a strong foundation for your practice. It moves slower and poses are held for 3-5 rounds of breath so you can feel confident in each shape.

Come dressed in clothes you can comfortably sweat in and that are group friendly (yep, that means no underwear please!) Bring your reusable water bottle– we also offer filtered water stations to keep you hydrated. Bring your mat, mat towel, and shower towel but if you forget those, no worries we have rentals available.

Cold Plunge & Sauna

The cold plunge temperature ranges from 37°F – 40°F and the sauna around 175°F – 185°F.

We’ll be here to guide you for your first few times! You’ll apply a lot of what you use in the hot room to get you through the plunge.

Cold exposure offers numerous benefits, including boosting energy and mood by releasing “feel-good” hormones like dopamine, producing a natural feeling of exhilaration, rejuvenation and focus. Heat and cold as a combo helps reduce stress by lowering cortisol levels in the blood helping to down-regulate tension, worry, and residual stress (win win!) Contrast therapy activates our parasympathetic nervous system, shifting the body from a state of “fight or flight.” Additionally, you build resilience by using your breath and mind to access peace under the adversity of the cold and heat, teaching our bodies to acclimate on a cellular level (pretty damn cool!) The process of moving between extreme temperatures helps improve recovery by making our cardiovascular system work more efficiently in sending oxygen and nutrients to the entire body, supporting overall physical performance.

You can rinse off in your yoga gear before taking a dip or bring a bathing suit. We recommend you bring a towel or you can rent one at the front desk. Bring your positive attitude and badass self, and you’re all set!

Our awesome cold plunge facilitators will be there to support you every step of the way with breathwork techniques, make sure you’re comfortable, and answer any questions you may have. Guided sessions include up to 5-min the plunge and up to 6-min in the traditional blue stone sauna. To transition to self-led plunges, you’re required to complete 2 guided sessions at MYLA.

Once you’ve completed 2 guided sessions with us, you can use your drop in, cold plunge credit, or your self-led membership anytime during open studio hours, outside of any scheduled guided hours– just check in with us at the front desk first.

We ask that you please limit your time to 3-5 min. Sauna is not available during self-led hours.

Yes! Up to 15-min before class.

No, you don’t need to take a class to use the cold plunge! You’re welcome to come in just for the plunge, but you’ll need to sign up using a drop-in, cold plunge credit, or your cold plunge membership. We highly recommend booking in advance to secure your spot. If the plunge is full when you arrive, we won’t be able to accommodate walk-ins. If you’re new to the studio, you’ll need to create an account and sign a waiver before your session.

Any sort of cardiovascular condition is contraindicated. For those with any auto immune condition, severe anemia, Raynaud’s Phenomenon, hypothyroidism, peripheral neuropathy, heart problems, diabetes, venous stasis, cold agglutinin or who are pregnant, please check in with your doctor first.

The tank is constantly circulating water through a filtration system and ozonator which means it is self-cleaning and disinfecting itself at all times. We change the filter every 2-3 days, add oxidizer/sanitizer as needed, skim water between plunges and completely drain/clean/refill the tank on a weekly basis unless required more often.
