Studio Guidelines

Our aim is to create a grounding, supportive space for all of our students in every class we offer. This whole community builds the MYLA experience you love. Help us keep the studio dreamy and review our studio guidelines and booking policies to best prepare you for your experience.

Community At Our Core

Modo Yoga LA works to build a community of trust, peace, and respect. We believe yoga is for every body and do not tolerate discrimination of any kind based on size, race, gender, age, sexual orientation, ethnicity, ability or any other aspects of identity.

Silent Hot Rooms

Many of us come to yoga for a peaceful oasis and a chance to leave the noise behind. Please leave your conversations outside of the hot room—yes, even whispers count! Take the opportunity to soak up the silence, settle into your meditation, or explore some deep breathing.

Cell Phone Free Zone

We live in a technology-driven world and aim to carve a small sanctuary away from the noise and speed of daily life. We kindly request you leave your tech devices outside of the hot room and stored in your locker. Please limit your use in the locker room to protect everyone’s privacy and create a peaceful space for all!

Start & End On Time

We work to build a positive experience from start to finish. To create this, there is no late entry allowed for class. Please give yourself enough time to arrive with ease.

Clutter-Free Spaces

There is only so much space in our practice rooms! Please leave all your belongings in the lockers. Bring your water bottle, mat, and practice towel into the space. We ask that no other belongings be brought into the practice rooms.

Stay For The Whole Class

Let’s keep the magic inside. Try and stay in the hot room if you can. If you need to take rest, you can always enjoy a sweet savasana.

Booking Policies

Reservations & Cancellations

All students can pre-register for class 7 days in advance.

You can cancel your class online or from your app up to 2 hours before the start of class to avoid losing your credit or being charged a late-cancellation fee. Please note we do not accept phone or email cancellations.

Late Cancellations/No-Show (Unlimited Members)

Canceling a class after the 2 hour window will incur a $10 late-cancel fee. If a class is not canceled and the student does not show up for class, members will receive a $20 no-show fee.

Late Cancellations/No-Show (Class Cards & Drop-Ins)

Both late cancellations and no-shows will result in a loss of credit. No additional fees will be charged.

Waitlist

Even when a class appears full, you may, and should, add yourself to the waitlist. When a cancellation is made, the first name on the waitlist gets automatically added to the class. If you are signed up for notifications, you will receive an email and text as soon as you are moved off the waitlist. This will happen up until 2 hours before class. Once you are added to the class from the waitlist, you become responsible for attending or canceling like any other reservation. If you are on the waitlist and know you do not plan to come to class, make sure to remove yourself before being added without adequate time to plan ahead or cancel without penalty (less than 2 hours before class).

If you are booked for class, your spot is held up until 5 minutes before class. At 5 minutes before class, any student who has not checked in for class will risk losing their spot to someone who is present from the waitlist. We understand how frustrating this can be—to avoid losing your spot, arrive early (5 minutes or more) and be ready to go!

Guest Booking

Unlimited Members get guest passes every billing cycle. Class Card holders and Drop-In students may use credits on their account to register friends and family. Guests can be booked through our app or website. Simply select “Reserve for Guest” and enter their email address. MYLA students do not need to be present in person with their guests but are responsible for all policies and fees attached to the reservation.

Rentals

You are welcome to bring your own gear. Yoga mats, mat towels, face towels and shower towels are also available to rent for $3 per item. We encourage you to be eco-friendly and bring your own reusable water bottle! Boxed water is available to purchase for $3.

Amenities

Our studios are fully equipped with locker rooms, ADA-accessible bathrooms and showers, and bike racks. All showers are stocked with body wash, shampoo, and conditioner. Our keyless lockers provide a secure place to store your belongings, as personal items are not permitted in the hot room.
