Raisa Lilling

Teacher

She/Her

Raisa has been teaching yoga and fitness since 2005 but has been practicing movement her entire life, including ballet, hiking, running, bodybuilding, Tae Kwon Do and boxing. She first experienced yoga in 1992 through the Jivamukti Yoga Center in NYC when she was looking to balance out boxing and weight training…the boxing stopped but her fitness and yoga journeys have continued. She initially signed up for a YogaWorks teacher training and apprenticeship program in 2005 with Annie Carpenter and Lisa Wolford to deepen her own practice but discovered a new love of sharing yoga and movement with others. The birth of her first daughter in 2006 started a fascination with functional fitness, particularly for helping postpartum women reconnect with their bodies, regain strength and manage diastasis recti. A NASM-CPT, she works with private clients in addition to her primary focus teaching Vinyasa Flow, Yoga Foundations and Yoga Sculpt classes. You can find her on the Modo schedule teaching Freestyle Flow and The Workout, encouraging students to follow their breath, find healthy alignment to ensure long term mobility and health, and to have fun exploring new ways to move!
