She/Her

Yvonne was born and raised in sunny San Diego. After receiving her B.A. in Art History and interning at the Getty Museum in 2010, she relocated to the city of Angels. She continues to work as an Arts Educator at the Norton Simon Museum, while also balancing a corporate 9-5 in the fashion industry.

In 2015, Yvonne’s life took an unexpected turn when she sustained an ACL injury during a Krav Maga self-defense class. What initially began as a physical therapy solution soon evolved into a profound and transformative yoga practice. Yoga became her sanctuary, offering not just physical recovery but a profound sense of emotional and mental clarity. It was this newfound peace that inspired Yvonne to share the magic of yoga with others. In 2021, during the peak of the pandemic, she took the plunge and deepened her practice by completing Modo Yoga International’s online 200-hour teacher training. In the hot room, Yvonne will guide you through a practice that’s both soothing and invigorating, pushing your limits while grounding your mind.

Off the mat, Yvonne adores spending time with her husband Petey and lounging with their two fur babies, Penny and Potato. She enjoys experimenting with new cooking recipes as well as exploring new restaurants throughout the city. On the weekends, you might also find Yvonne getting lost at an art museum or dancing the night away at a concert or music festival!
