Class Cards & Membership Policies

Studio Guidelines and Reservation Policy

CLASSES START ON TIME:  To respect everyone’s time, we start the classes at the scheduled time.  We highly recommend ARRIVE EARLY.  Doors are always open 30 minutes before class.  Late arrivals are not permitted in class.

RESERVATIONS:  You can make your class reservations via the app or website from your account associated with your email. Pre-registration is available starting 7 days in advance and up to 30 minutes before class starts. If you pre-register for class, you are guaranteed a spot provided that you’re checked in at the front desk at least 10 minutes before class begins. If not then you will lose your reservation and we will start accepting walk ins that arrive on a first come first serve basis.

CANCELLING RESERVATIONS: If you are unable to attend, please cancel your reservation online as early as possible – avoid leaving this to the last minute. Doing this allows someone who is waitlisted to be confirmed in the class. You can cancel up to 4 hours before class starts with no penalty. We cannot guarantee that we will be able to check our email or voicemail in time, so please cancel your reservation online only.

RESERVATION POLICY FEES:  You can still “late cancel” less than 4 hours before class begins – your account will still be charged a $10 penalty fee, but at least we get a heads up that you won’t be coming, so we can give the spot away to someone else.

Failing to cancel your reservation at all will result in a “No Show” and a $10 penalty fee. If something beyond your control happens and it’s an emergency situation, please reach out and let us know via email, and we will not charge the penalty fee.

Please note that anyone on a class card will lose a class from their class card package instead of being charged the $10 penalty fee.

Missed Reservation Fee:

  • Late Cancellation: If you cancel your reservation less than 4 hours before class starts
  • No-Show: If you register for a class and do not show up
  • Penalty Fee: You will be charged a $10 penalty for the missed class. In the event of an emergency or something reasonable beyond your control, please email us at info@modoyogamaple.com for consideration for a 1-time courtesy refund.

Guidelines

Waiting Lists

We understand that waiting lists can feel frustrating at times, but you must trust the process! Space almost always opens up — usually, not until the same day as class. Be prepared, and make sure you cancel your waiting list reservation at least 4 hours in advance if you can’t make it after all — otherwise, you could lose a class or be charged a penalty fee. Make sure you have an active payment on your account for every waitlist spot you reserve — if your spot is unpaid and room on the waiting list opens up, your place can’t be guaranteed until paid for.

Cancellation Policy

Cancel your spot at least 4 HOURS IN ADVANCE if you can’t make it, so someone else can come to class.

Penalty fees for late-cancels & no-shows

Late Cancellation: Canceling reservation less than 4 hrs before class

No Show: You do not show up to class.

Penalty Fee:

  • Members and Unlimited packages (including Introductory Offer): Charged a $10 penalty fee
  • Class card & drop-in students: 1 class will be used

Notifications

TIP: Turn on your text alerts! This is the best way to confirm your spot, it’s automatic. If you answer the text, you do not need to respond to the email. We love hearing from you, but when you confirm by email, your reservation has to be updated manually. Text confirmations are instant and ensure that you won’t lose your spot.

Periodically, promotions will be emailed to our students and/or advertised via social media. Typically these promotions are available for a short duration. Once the stated deadline for purchase is over, we are no longer able to honour the promotion.

If you purchase a promotional class card, it will have an expiration date. If the class card expires before all classes have been used, you may pay the difference in cost between the promotional price and the current price (non discounted price) and then use the remainder of the card.

Storage Onsite and Lost & Found

  • Modo Yoga Maple does not provide space for students to store their personal belongings or their mat.
  • Modo Yoga Maple is not responsible for the loss or theft of personal belongings. Students concerned about their personal effects can leave them at home, in their car or in the small basket at the front desk with the staff member.
  • Shoes and boots: Yoga brain happens! Sometimes students accidentally leave with someone else’s footwear that is similar to their own. Please note in these situations, we will do our best to help recover the mixed-up item but can not contact everyone present in class that day to do so. Typically we simply let our teachers and staff know to be on the lookout. We encourage students to use the footwear identification method provided at the studio to avoid this and mark your shoes, boots, sandals!
  • Any personal items that are found in the studio will be lovingly placed in our Lost & Found Bin.
  • Unclaimed Lost & Found items are donated to charity after 30 days.
