All retail items purchased at Modo Yoga Nanaimo have a two week (14 day) conditional return policy.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging, with tags attached. To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase. Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.
Several types of goods are exempt from being returned. Items which are reduced or on sale are exempt from return, as well as perishable goods such as food, and products that are intimate.

CLASSES START ON TIME: To respect everyone’s time, we start the classes at the scheduled time. We highly recommend that you ARRIVE EARLY. Doors are always open 30 minutes before class. We suggest you arrive at least 10 minutes before class start time. If you arrive less than 5 minutes before the class, you are considered late and may not be permitted to attend. Late arrivals are not permitted in class.
RESERVATIONS: You can make your class reservations via the app or website from your account associated with your email.
CANCELLING RESERVATIONS: Please cancel your reservation 24 hrs in advance through your APP or website. However, we know that life happens. To avoid any penalty charges, we have a 4-HOUR CANCELLATION WINDOW for Standard Classes, and a 24-HOUR CANCELLATION WINDOW for Workshops and Series. You may cancel your class reservation online or on your app up to 4 hours before the start of class without penalty for Standard Classes, and up to 24 hours in advance for Series and Workshops. Please note that we do not accept phone or email cancellations.
RESERVATION POLICY FEES: Due to class capacity restrictions, we have a No-Show/Late-Cancellation policy. You may cancel your standard class reservation online or on your app up to 4 hours before the start of class without penalty, or 24 hours before the start of a Workshop or Series without penalty. Cancel directly from your account on the app or website (Do not cancel via phone, email, or online messaging).
Missed Reservation Fee:

ACTIVATION DATE: All credits activate upon date of purchase. Credits and credit packages are non-refundable and non-transferable.
EXPIRATION DATE: All credits, credit packages and class passes expire one year from date of purchase, unless otherwise noted.
CONDITIONS: Credits and credit packages have no holds, extensions, or transfers.
ACTIVATION DATE: Your purchase date is the Agreement Date. However, your Intro Pass activates upon your first registered check-in, and is valid for two (2) weeks from your first registered check-in date. This pass is NOT auto-renewing, which means you will not be charged again moving forward, and there is nothing you need to cancel.
EXPIRATION DATE: This pass expires 2 weeks from your first registered check-in: no holds, no extensions, non-transferable and no refunds.
GUEST INTRO PASSES: To help you create your yoga community, new students will receive two (2) guest passes with the purchase of an Intro Pass. These passes are valid for the length of the Intro Pass, and will expire when the Intro Pass expires.
Thank you for choosing to practice at Modo Yoga Nanaimo. We look forward to being a part of your yoga journey! Look at our flexible class card options at the end of your Intro Pass if you want to practice 1/month. If you prefer a more regular schedule or 2-3/week, our best value is our auto-renewing Limited or Unlimited Membership.
ACTIVATION DATE: Your Unlimited Membership activates on the date of purchase, and is an auto-renewing membership which recurs every 4 weeks. Please ensure that your credit card is current and you have sufficient funds.
MEMBERSHIP PAUSE: You can request to suspend your membership for up to 90 days, once per year. Suspension requests must be submitted in writing at least 7 business days in advance of the suspension period start date by filling out our Pause Membership form.
GUEST PASSES: Introduce your friends to yoga for free to help you create your yoga community. Unlimited Membership holders receive two (2) Guest Passes within each (4 week) billing cycle. Guest Passes are for people who have never been to the studio or have not attended class in over a year. Guest Passes must be used within the 4 week billing cycle, and do not carry over.
MEMBERSHIP PERKS: Unlimited Memberships come with extended perks such as priority booking, and a 10% discount on retail, Workshops and Series.
CONDITIONS: This is a recurring monthly (monthly = 4 weeks) auto-renew membership. This pass can be used for all classes on our regular schedule. The Unlimited Membership is non-transferable and non-refundable. If there are price increases to the Unlimited Membership, the current price is guaranteed for 1 year from the increased price.
CANCELLING YOUR UNLIMITED MEMBERSHIP: There are no cancellation fees. Please provide 2 weeks’ notice to cancel your Unlimited Membership. Please note that you cannot sign back at the current rate once cancelled. To cancel, please fill out the Cancel Membership form.
IMPORTANT, PLEASE NOTE: Your Unlimited Membership will continue until and unless you cancel. Regardless of payment issues or life circumstances, your contract will remain outstanding until or unless it is cancelled.

This pass can be used for all classes on our regular schedule. Passes must be used within the billing cycle and do not carry over to the next billing cycle. There are no holds or extensions, and it is non-transferable. If there are price increases to the Limited Membership, the current price is guaranteed for 1 year from the increased price. Limited Memberships do not come with extended perks.
IMPORTANT, PLEASE NOTE: Your Unlimited Membership will continue until and unless you cancel. Regardless of payment issues or life circumstances, your contract will remain outstanding until or unless it is cancelled.
We understand that waiting lists can feel frustrating at times, but you must trust the process! Space almost always opens up — usually, not until the same day as class. Be prepared, and make sure you cancel your waiting list reservation at least 4 hours in advance if you can’t make it after all — otherwise, you could lose a class or be charged a fee.
Cancel your spot at least 24 HOURS IN ADVANCE if you can’t make it, so someone else can come to class.
Last-minute things come up. For these times, we have a short notice policy of cancelling 4 hrs before class, and 24 hours for all Series and Workshops.
Late Cancellation: Canceling reservation less than 4 hrs before class, or 24 hours before a Series or Workshop
No Show: You do not show up to class.
TIP: Turn on your text alerts! This is the best way to confirm your spot, it’s automatic. If you answer the text, you do not need to respond to the email. We love hearing from you, but when you confirm by email, your reservation has to be updated manually. Text confirmations are instant and ensure that you won’t lose your spot.
In order to respect our insurance policy and to ensure everyone’s safety, the following are approved of 1 hour hot yoga classes:
-18 years old and up unaccompanied
– 16-17 years old accompanied by an adult (parent or guardian).
– yogis 16 years old and younger could use our online kids classes.
Periodically, promotions will be emailed to our students and/or advertised via social media. Typically these promotions are available for a short duration.
Once the stated deadline for purchase is over, we are no longer able to honour the promotion.
If you purchase a promotional class card, it may have a different expiration date than the class cards and credits which are always available.
NO ELECTRONICS:
Many students arrive at our studio to take a break from the busy-ness of their daily lives, so we ask that you leave your phone in the changing room.
Smartwatches should be put on silent and notifications turned off.
SILENT PRACTICE ROOMS:
Please keep the room a silent space and leave all conversations (even whispering) outside the hot room. Before and after class is a special time that students use to meditate, decompress, and integrate their practice before the rest of their day.
SYMPTOM FREE SPACE:
Our studio is a symptom free space. If you are feeling unwell, we ask that you please stay home and rest.
NO PERSONAL AFFECTS IN THE HOT ROOM:
Please leave all personal items in the changing rooms. The only items permitted in the hot room are your yoga mat, towel(s) and water bottle.
