Why I love teaching: I love to inspire others to reconnect with themselves and their bodies. I am a Holistic Nutritionist who is passionate about the restorative properties of food and movement and the body’s natural ability to heal.
What I love about Modo Yoga: I love that Modo Yoga is accessible to everyone. The Modo sequencing is a good balance of effort and ease and allows you to really sink deep into your practice. I love Modo Yoga Nanaimo because the teachers are incredible, the environment is welcoming and peaceful and the classes are diverse and challenging.
If I could give one piece of advice to new students, it would be: My advice to new students would be to not take yourself or your practice too seriously in the beginning. Your poses won’t be perfect and that’s not the point. Do your best, but more importantly do what is best for your body. Technique will come with practice.
