Lakou, derived from Haitian Creole, means “yard”—a communal space where people come together to celebrate unity and togetherness. Our Lakou program here at Modo Yoga NYC is dedicated to creating a welcoming environment for people of color, offering a space where individuals can cultivate meaningful and fulfilling experiences.
Join us this February for Lakou Presents: My Black is Beautiful—a multi-week hot yoga series celebrating the strength, beauty, and diversity within the BIPOC community. Each week will feature a practice reserved for specific practitioners within the BIPOC community, culminated in an event where all are invited to connect, share, and grow together. Through this series, we aim to cultivate a safe and inclusive space for self-care, mindfulness, and connection!
