Teacher

Vinyasa, HIIT Yoga, Inferno Hot Pilates

My love for yoga developed 20 years ago when I discovered that yoga was much more than stretching and trying to twist my body into a pretzel. I loved getting a good sweat on and testing my physical boundaries in a gym environment. However, when I tried my first 75 min hot yoga class I was amazed how much effort it took to just hold a shape, I was officially hooked.

After a decade of practicing yoga I decided to become a teacher. It was my time to start the process of rebuilding my identity outside of mom and wife.

My appreciation for yoga has shifted since becoming a teacher. I still LOVE the physical practice of yoga, that’s my jam, that’s why I became a Power Vinyasa teacher. But  my practice deepened when I began implementing the yogi mentality into my practice and life. Honour your body where it is at the moment. Use breath to regulate emotions. Learning to get comfortable in uncomfortable situations to build my physical practice and my coping skills. Everything we learn in the studio is meant to be used outside of the studio.
