Yoga has always been my mirror—reflecting parts of myself I didn’t always expect to see. Even as a timid beginner, something kept pulling me back to the mat. Every time I stepped into the hot room, I’d surprise myself a little: a deeper breath, a quieter mind, a pose I never thought I’d try. Over time, I realized I wasn’t just getting stronger physically—I was building a real relationship with my practice. One that helped me listen to my body, stay curious, and show up for myself in a way that felt honest and empowering.
After six years of building what became my most trusted outlet through all of life’s lessons, all roads led to teacher training. In 2021, I received my 200-hour YTT certification, and after teaching in hot studios throughout Boise, I went on to complete a 300-hour training in 2022 in Mal Pais, Costa Rica.
Shortly after, I moved to San Diego and searched “hottest yoga classes in San Diego”—and the Google gods delivered! I took my first Modo class fresh out of training and in the midst of some big life challenges, and I quickly knew I had found home. I’ve been practicing here as a student ever since, continually exploring my edges in the hot room and finding deep gratitude for all this practice continues to offer.
As an instructor, my intention is to hold space and offer energy that encourages each student to explore their yoga practice in whatever ways support their confidence, curiosity, and self-trust—building a deeper relationship with themselves both on and off the yoga mat. I’m so grateful to be part of this community and would love to have you in class.
