It was through unconventional means that Bethany came to the practice of yoga. It was recommended to her to try by her PT as she was rehabilitating from a back injury at the time. It started as something of an aid in her PT to help her recover, but soon became something she enjoyed and saw the value in it. Bethany then tried Modo at the urging of her best friend and fell in love with the practice, the community, and the heat! She graduated from a local 200 hour Hatha yoga training program in May, 2020 and jumped right into the Modo level 1, 500 hour training program in June, 2020!
It has always been a passion of Bethany’s to help people, and now she enjoys helping others through the practice of yoga since it has helped her so much. She enjoys being able to offer modifications to those who take her class in order for the practice to be more accessible to all levels. Be accessible happens to be her favorite Modo pillar.
Working with the body, alignment, and muscles comes naturally to Bethany as she has been a Physical Therapist Assistant for 10 years. She is also one class away from graduating with her bachelors degree in Kinesiology in the Spring of 2021. Bethany feels she is always a student and has a passion to continue to learn and grow in her own personal practice, as well as an instructor.
