The dance studio shaped much of my life and how I saw myself from a young age. When I decided to stop dancing professionally, I had to rediscover myself and learn to love my body again. From my very first class at Modo Yoga, I knew that the hot room and my yoga mat would be where I could cultivate deeper self knowledge and acceptance. My personal practice continues to evolve, opening infinite new paths toward freedom and connection.
I did my initial teacher training with Modo Yoga in 2016, and began to see how my teaching and my personal practice are not separate – one informs the other. Over time, I’ve come to see, too, that these formal practices are not separate from my life as a whole. Yoga has become a way of being in the world for me. I am so grateful to offer students an opportunity to connect compassionately with themselves and our world through their physical, mental, and spiritual practice on the mat.
