Join Emily and Rose for a gentle blindfolded yin. When you remove your most relied-upon sense, your sight, your other senses heighten naturally, forcing you to look within and observe the areas that need strengthening. Because you’re blindfolded, you’re not competing with anyone in class and really tuning into yourself without judgment. The purest form of LOVE!
Please bring a scarf and or a sleep-mask.
Note: An aspect of tuning in is also being aware of discomfort, if at any time you would like to remove your blindfold or if the idea is uncomfortable but you would still like to take practice, know you are welcome to.
Friday, February 14th @ 7pm
Regular class passes apply | Pre-registration recommended
*No adjustments will be given in this class*
Curl up with your mat and move through the wonderful restful practice of yin. Allow the postures to unfold while enjoying the tale of the one and only Pooh bear!
Here in the West, Winnie the Pooh is very much a beloved cultural icon- that little chubby, little cubby all stuffed with fluff is too cute to not be fond of! Benjamin Hoff’s book, the Tao of Pooh combines Eastern spiritual beliefs using Winnie the Pooh as a way to explain concepts and ways of living in an easier, more palatable and relatable way.
Sometimes ways of thought and ways of knowing are heavy, but Winnie the Pooh sure does keep it light and fluffy. It’s probably because he’s silly and willy and nilly. Come discover a new way of knowing through Taoism, regarded by many as learning to walk the middle path.
Deep relaxing movement for your body, stimulating content for your mind.
