Amy Bentley-Richard

Rocket/Power/Flow/Yin instructor

I started my practice over sixteen years ago when a close friend introduced me to yoga. At first, my inspiration for my practice was to balance out my overall fitness routine. After completing my first 30-day challenge at MODO, I learned dedication and determination, how mindfulness affects change, and what it means to be empowered.

Drawn to the dynamic and invigorating practice of Power Vinyasa, I decided I wanted to take my practice deeper and enrolled in the 200 YTT, focusing on the Baptiste Power Training. Shortly after, I completed my 25 Hour Yin Training with Sandi-Rae Hebb. In 2021, I was introduced to Rocket Yoga and I immediately fell in love with the exploratory nature of the sequence.  In April 2022, I headed to Austin, Texas to complete my 50 Hour Intensive Rocket Training with David Kyle. I was still hungry for more, so in November 2023 I took an additional 50 hours of Intensive Rocket Training in Washington, DC with Brendan Smullen and Christiane Coste Cacho.

The four corners of our mat is our playground. It creates the grounding space to connect in an open, curious and creative way. I believe that yoga is not just a physical practice, but a holistic journey of self-awareness and personal growth.

I hope to create a supportive and inclusive environment where students can explore their edge, embrace challenges, and tap into their inner strength both on and off the mat.

I am forever grateful for the community that has been created at MODO. This safe space has allowed me to find peace within myself that I never knew existed. Yoga is a constant evolution and I look forward to being a lifelong student. I cannot wait to sweat it out with you in the cave!
