Ashleigh McKinnon

Modo Instructor

I had taken some kids yoga classes, but the second I stepped into Modo Sherwood Park, I was officially hooked! From the moment I walked in those doors, I felt at home, and knew this was something I wanted to continue.

Just like most, I started yoga for the physical workout. I was ready to get a good sweat on and leave my muscles a little sore. However, as time went on, I found myself a lot more peaceful overall, and I knew for sure that it was noticeable to my close family and friends around me.

When I was practicing, I would sometimes wonder what it would be like to be the voice that guides the students through the practice. I am an elementary teacher in my full time job, so it wasn’t a far stretch to think I might be able to do this.

In August of 2024, I jetted off to Montréal to get my 200 hour modo training. Since then, I haven’t been able to get enough, either on the teaching side or the practicing side! I can’t wait to see you on your mat, to either practice with you or guide you through!
