Tara has been practicing yoga ever since Modo set roots in downtown St. John’s. Her inspiration to try hot yoga came from a close friend as well as trusted health professionals. Tara instantly fell in love and joined Modo Yoga St. John’s family as an ambassador of the energy exchange program in 2012.
After more than a decade dealing with physical injuries that limited her mobility, yoga has given Tara a new perspective towards healing. Yoga has become her safe place, rejuvenating her mind, body and soul. She can’t imagine her life without it! To deepen her practice, Tara travelled to Nicaragua in January, 2015, to complete Modo Teacher Training.
The Modo community has encouraged and instilled positive change in Tara’s life. Through practice, both on and off her mat, Tara is inspired to sprinkle love and peace to those around her, fulfilling her innate, lifelong passion.
Tara is eager to grow as a student and teacher. Outside the studio, Tara can be found in her kitchen cooking up a storm, in the outdoors hiking, or snuggled up with a good book, a ball of yarn or with her sweetie goldendoodle, Maddox.
