My why for teaching: To help guide people to learn how to slow down, to create space to appreciate a peace pause from the pace and stresses of life, and how to feel and use breath and movement as a tool of self-awareness. I love sharing fun and creative ways to explore connection, and how to harness and build confidence, strength and balance in mind and body.

What I love about Modo Yoga: The Modo series and community feel like home. There is so much depth, learning and freedom through routine and repetition. The practice and people help anchor you to what is real and present in the moment. It’s space and practice to explore self-discovery, and how to cultivate inner peace and be in flow with the constant waves of change in life, in mind, and body.

If I could give one piece of advice to new students, it would be: Approach this practice with an open mind and as a lifelong journey. Yoga can be a mirror in learning how to approach and live life and in learning how to be in relationships, including the one with yourself. Take it slow, be curious, patient and kind to yourself through the learning.

Beyond the mat, I enjoy: Running, hiking, travelling, hosting yoga retreats, surfing in warm climates, spending time with family and friends, and drinking coffee.
