My why for teaching: I was drawn to Yoga initially to help heal physical injuries, however quickly realized it gave me so much more. Yoga is a deep personal practice, and it can be as varied as the practice itself. I love sharing the transformative power of Yoga with students, whether for physical healing, mental clarity, spiritual growth or the joy of getting good and sweaty. I enjoy creating a safe place for people to reconnect with themselves, reduce stress, or cultivate mindfulness in their daily lives. I have a deep desire to help others experience the same peace and balance within themselves.

What I love about Modo Yoga: Beyond a doubt the community that has been lovingly created by Jill and now co-led and instilled with Sophia.

If I could give one piece of advice to new students, it would be: Trust your body and meet yourself where you are. Yoga is about cultivating self-awareness and self-compassion, no perfectionism.

Beyond the mat, I enjoy: Being active – I enjoy running, biking, lifting weights, hiking, and playing pickleball. I love to garden, knit, read, and watch movies. I’m passionate about animals and have a wee chihuahua, Indie. I’m always exploring new ways to spend my time.
