Eric Mathias is the co-creator of Modo Fit and co-facilitator of the Modo Fit trainings.
Forever a student, Eric is a social and environmental activist. He is a former research scientist in cognitive and quantitative psycholinguistics.
Eric first came to yoga through pranayama (yogic breathing) and meditation.
He is passionate about breath-awareness, strength, flexibility, mindfulness and repetition.
Eric values yoga and the Modo Fit practice for helping him stay strong and pliable so he can move comfortably and graciously as he ages.
Eric co-owns Modo Yoga Burnaby and Modo Yoga St. Catharines with his wife and business partner, Julia Cowan.
When not at the studio, you’ll find him sweating in his garage, where he recently installed hot room heating panels. How cool is that?
