Kim decided to open a Modo studio after experiencing the overwhelming benefits of the practice while playing basketball during her undergrad. Soon she was crippled with an inflammatory arthritis of the spine and spent many years in chronic pain. Modo was the first yoga practice to have a drastic impact on her pain, and she fell in love with not only its physical benefits, but also the mental and emotional effects. Her hometown did not have anything like it at the time, and she knew she needed to share the practice with neighbours and friends. This is a life-long journey she is eager to share with any of those who share the path.
