Kunga has been an avid practitioner of yoga and meditation for over ten years. He began teaching yoga and meditation in 2004. Kunga received his yoga teaching certification from The Yoga Center Winnipeg, and his certification in Applied Meditation from the Asian Classics Institute based in Arizona. Kunga has spent over four months in solitary meditation retreats in India and North America deepening his knowledge and experience of these practices.
Kunga lived as a Buddhist Rabjung Monk for more than two years, and studied with the late Tibetan Buddhist Lama, Khen Rimpoche. His meditation has also has been influenced by the Vipassana style of meditation. Kunga has also studied at Cold Mountain Internal Arts, and brings Taoist principles and movement exercises into his classes. Kunga is also a long time martial artist and a student of Acupuncture.
