This workshop will give you an introduction to your nervous system and a deeper understanding of the miracle that is the human body. We’ll investigate the intersection of yoga, philosophy and neuroscience i.e. neurophysiology, neuroanatomy, and cognitive science. You will walk away from this workshop with a basic knowledge of the human nervous system, from the cellular level to the complex behaviours and movements that make up our daily lives. Together, we will explore the fascinating marriage between our human bodies and brains.

Sara teaches the Self-Exploration Series at the Modo Level 1 teacher trainings. Sara holds a Masters of Science in Rehabilitation and Neuroscience, and she completed her Modo Level 1 Training in Brazil 2021. Her teaching style comes from a unique marriage between knowledge of the human brain and body. She focuses on guiding students through a conversation with their bodies, while using the breath as an awareness tool.
Over the years, she has completed an array of trainings in different styles of yoga, including Modo and Modo Flow, Vinyasa, Pre/post-natal yoga, as well as yin and restorative. More recently she has added Thai yoga massage to her repertoire of skills and has been treating clients, mainly athletes, with these different modalities.
