New to yoga and want more information on what it’s all about? Practicing for a while and are looking to deepen your practice and knowledge? Our Modo 101 Posture Workshop is just for you! We will have a fun and informative time as Tegan breaks down the Modo series posture by posture. Have a chance to ask questions, use props, work through different modifications and gain a deeper understanding of the Modo series and how it came to be.
This workshop is all levels!
Here’s how it works! This challenge is a personal commitment to practice 30 yoga classes in 30 days. You may attend any class on the schedule, signing in for class at the desk in the usual way. 2 large posters will be put up featuring all the challenger’s names. Put a check mark or happy face up for each yoga class you attend! Participants regular class packages will be put on hold for the challenge. $150/$125students/$50 unlimited members (plus monthly contract fee) gets you a whole month to get your sweat on, workshop discounts, bragging rights of course, and a sweet 30 day challenge tank or tee! Those who complete 25 or more yoga classes get a coupon for 20% off any class package or product. Those who complete 30 in 30 get entered to win some amazing prizes! Join Jess Robertson, co founder of Modo Yoga, to explore the science of breathing as well as breathing techniques for immune function, focus, energy and rest. A short Yin practice with live music will be followed by deep Breathwork and a restorative Yoga Sleep.
Breathwork has been used for centuries to enter into a state of deep interoception-an awareness of our inner being. This time is meant as a reset, a re-charge and a chance to renew from the inside out.
This experience is a true treat for your body, mind, and soul. In this workshop you will practice 3 styles: Myofascial rolling, restorative yoga, and yoga nidra. Tools provided and comfy props encouraged. This workshop is a studio favorite.
A source for overcoming obstacles and conquering fears. Working with a wall to support your physical yoga practice has tremendous potential to build flexibility and strength. In this 2 hour workshop students will be given beneficial insight to open hips, hamstrings, shoulders, deepen twists, improve backbends and gain the confidence for inversions. Practitioners will be offered fun strength work and therapeutic restorative postures. It will be a sweet balance between active/invigorating and the nurturing/healing.
Fall is an introspective time of the yearly cycle. According to Traditional Chinese Medicine, Autumn is a key time to reflect on the seeds you have planted through spring and summer and the goals you have set. This is with when we harvest and settle into the hibernation of winter (the high point of Yin). This time of year gives us the time and space to reflect. In this workshop you will learn how to harvest autumn energy and incorporate self healing practices specific to this time of year.
This workshop will support practitioners in increasing their harmony in Autumn and with nature overall.
