Modo is warm (in every way) and welcoming to everyone. The space is calm and clean and the classes are consistently challenging while allowing for modifications. There is a true sense of community among both teachers and students
Why do you teach yoga?
I teach yoga as an opportunity to share something that has been so critical to my own health and healing. In addition, I love getting to know other yogis.
What yoga certifications do you have?
200hr power yoga. Mini-yogis certification.
If you were an animal, what would it be?
Probably a cat. I like certain things on my own terms, I’m on the quiet side, like a consistent feeding schedule and curling up in soft places.
You have one day completely to yourself in Columbus. What do you do?
Spa day with pad Thai. That’s really it. I’d be recharged for a long time on that combination.
What’s your favorite yoga pose and why?
Balancing half moon. It’s beautiful to say in English and Sanskrit, requires great focus and engagement and can always be played with. There’s always something to fine tune or try differently. I love how balance postures can feel nuanced day to day.
You can only eat at one Columbus restaurant for the rest of your life. What is it?
