Julie first walked through the doors of Modo Yoga Charlottetown in 2012. It was such a warm, welcoming community; it left her always looking forward to her next visit. Over the next few years, due to career changes and completing her MEd, she would come and go.
In 2017, she got back into a routine attending classes, and joined the Energy Exchange team. She is so thankful for that experience! Spending time with such amazing teachers and students, who were always non judgemental and loving, made her feel right at home. As her yoga practice deepened, so did her relationships, and she felt like she had finally found her niche. In addition to managing chronic neck and shoulder pain, the Modo community has tremendously eased her anxiety, helped her find peace of mind, and allowed her to be her best self.
In July, 2018, she attended the month long Modo intensive teacher training in Kelowna, BC. Being surrounded by kind, compassionate, and fun loving yogis was one of the best experiences in her life thus far.
When Julie is not at the yoga studio, you will find her at the QEH teaching xray students, hiking, or enjoying the sweet salt air on one of PEI’s beautiful beaches.
