Megan Whiten grew up in downtown Toronto but spent much of her youth mountain climbing in the Rockies, and travelling throughout Canada.
She studied Sculpture Installation and Interdisciplinary Studies at OCAD completing her BFA and graduating with honours, after which she moved to Holland, and then called NYC home for 2 years. After returning to Toronto, she opened her first restaurant “Beaver Cafe”, on Queen St. West. and later, “Camp” in Baby Point Gates.
Megan discovered the Modo Yoga Bloor West community in 2011, and immediately felt a connection. In 2018 she completed the Level 1 Modo Yoga Teacher Training, followed in quick succession by the Modo Flow, and a Pilates Mat Level 1 in 2019. Megan is a dedicated Mom to her 15 year old daughter, Mackenzie. She also loves to be as active as possible, and when not in the studio teaching or practicing, you may find her jogging or roller-skating in the neighbourhood, or perhaps SUPing on the Humber.
