When I stepped into Modo Yoga Vaudreuil for the first time, I didn't know such a grand adventure was waiting for me - the progressive and fascinating discovery of a world where silence invite relaxation, where words incite movement, where movements make it possible to open and excel, where teachers guide, support, motivate, and inspire each practice. It's only the beginning when the class is over, as we take with us into the world, the power of our breath, positive thoughts and an increasingly optimistic outlook. It's an ongoing journey of evolution and delight. With my whole heart I welcome new discoveries, challenges, questions and insights that are continuously revealing themselves through my practice. Just before the holiday frenzy, offer yourself (or a loved one….) the gift of a luxurious breathing session, an introspective meditation as well a gentle and therapeutic yin yoga class combined with sound treatments (Tibetan bowls, crystal bowls, gongs, tingshas, rattles, crystal singing pyramid, tuning fork, idopan drum in 432hz (frequency of earth healing). The practice of yin yoga uses gentle tension to relax your muscles. Because connective tissues respond better to a soft tension applied for a long period of time, Yin postures are held passively, for 3 to 5 minutes. The vibration and auditive sensory experience allows the body a deeper release and connection.
Everything slows down at the beginning of winter. It’s a time of energy conservation, awaiting the rebirth of a new spring. In Chinese medicine, winter is associated with the element of Water and the meridians of the kidney and bladder organs, which will be targeted during this proposed sequence.

Modo Calm was designed to relax the body and quiet the mind. Each class offers a unique and peaceful experience by combining elements of Yin Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Breathwork and Meditation. You may be introduced to new postures and techniques, but this class remains accessible to all.
To make it even more soothing, live music and rhythms by Tim Walsh are added at specific times during the practice.

Energy Exchangers (EE’s) are an integral part of our studio family – their passion and dedication is what makes our community so special. In exchange for working one 3,5 hour shift per week, either at the front desk or cleaning the studio, EE’s will receive unlimited yoga and lots of other perks!
